Dr. Shantavia Hayes graduated from the Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. After graduation, she completed a small animal rotating internship at BluePearl Specialty and Emergency Pet Hospitals in Tampa, Florida. There she rotated through neurology, medicine and surgery services as well as working as an emergency veterinarian.

Dr. Hayes spent 2.5 years in general practice and urgent care after internship to further hone her patient care and client communication skills. Throughout her studies, internship and practice Dr. Hayes maintained an enthusiasm for surgery and is seeking further training for specialization.

Dr. Hayes enjoys travel and reading as well as spending time with her fiancé and their growing group of pets including 1 dog (Mr. Peanut) and cats (Cashew, Beautiful Bob, Garbanzo Beanz and Chick Pea).
